2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Apple/Google App Stores
If you make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. I receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use your information to:
- Provide the Service — Process your voice, generate responses, maintain conversation history
- Process speech — Convert your voice to text using speech-to-text services
- Generate responses — Send your text inputs to AI providers to generate conversational responses
- Synthesize speech — Convert AI responses to audio using text-to-speech services
- Store your sessions — Save transcripts and summaries for later review
- Track usage — Monitor usage against plan limits
- Improve the Service — Analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, develop new features
- Provide support — Respond to your questions and requests
4. Voice, Audio, and AI Processing
The Service uses voice recognition and artificial intelligence to enable hands-free conversation. Here's how it works:
Voice Recording and Processing:
- Your voice is recorded on your device while you speak
- When you say "Send" (or your chosen command), the audio is sent to my server
- My server sends the audio to a speech-to-text provider (Deepgram) for transcription
- Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently
What speech-to-text providers receive:
- Your audio recording for that specific exchange
- They do NOT receive your email, name, or account information
AI Response Generation:
- Your transcribed text is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google)
- The AI generates a conversational response
- The response is sent to a text-to-speech provider (OpenAI or ElevenLabs)
- Audio is streamed back to your device for playback
What AI providers receive:
- Your text input for that specific request
- Recent conversation history for context
- The conversation mode (brainstorm, coach, etc.) to guide response style
- They do NOT receive your email, name, or account credentials
AI provider data practices:
- Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data
- I use API configurations that minimize data retention where available
- AI providers may use data to improve their models unless opted out at the API level
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key):
If you provide your own API key:
- Your API key is stored only on your device (in the secure keychain), never on my servers
- Requests are sent directly using your API key
- You are subject to your own agreement with the AI provider
Important notes:
- AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate
- The AI does not provide professional advice (medical, legal, financial)
- You should verify important information independently
5. How I Share Your Information
I do not sell your personal information.
I share information only in these circumstances:
